Michelin-starred Deliranto "changes stage" and leaves Salou and Tarragona

Salou. Costa Dorada. 22 September 2026.

Pep Moreno, chef and soul of Deliranto, has announced that he is closing the restaurant—holder of one Michelin star and one Repsol Sol—and leaving Salou and the province of Tarragona. In a video on the establishment's social media, the chef stated that "Deliranto is changing its stage, but not its story," and announced that the final service at its current location on Llevant Street in Salou will take place on October 31, 2026.

"We are relocating. We don't have a date yet," said Moreno, who also did not disclose the new destination of his project, although he did confirm it is "outside the province of Tarragona." According to Michelin Guide rules, this relocation will mean losing the Michelin star until it can be revalidated at the new venue.

The restaurant's closure and departure come as very impactful news in Salou, as Pep Moreno put the town on the culinary map of the Costa Daurada, as well as nationally and internationally.

Deliranto opened its doors in Salou in 2017 and earned a Michelin star in 2019. Pep Moreno's drive spread throughout the municipality; through the town's Associació d'Empresaris d'Hostaleria (AEH) and with the Salou City Council as an ally, he promoted various gastronomic events and activities (Squid Gastronomic Days, Tasta Salou, among others), which raised the culinary standards and prestige of Salou in the field of gastronomy.

In his farewell video, Pep Moreno says that the relocation "fills us with sadness," but assures that "the new challenges and the work over the coming months on creativity and research into our dishes and our concept will leave no one indifferent."
