On November 7, 8 and 9, 2025, Salou will host the first edition of SAVI, the Wine Fair that wants to turn the capital of the Costa Dorada into the epicenter of the wine and gastronomic culture of the territory.
The participation of wineries of the 7 designations of origin of wine in the territory (DO Catalunya, DO Montsant, DO Terra Alta, DO Tarragona, DO Conca de Barberà, DOQ Priorat, DO Penedès) as well as other wine regions and also abroad has been announced.
In addition to guided tastings, pairings, and training and space activities for professionals, there will also be a gastronomic area with local products, oil from the DOP Siurana and a showcooking by the chef of Salou with a Michelin star, Pep Moreno. The musical performances will complete the festive atmosphere.
During the presentation of the Wine Fair, Gil Cristià, representative of the Olympus Palace Hotel where this initiative will take place, said that “SAVI was born with the desire to boost the cultural and tourist offer of Salou out of season, highlighting the quality and diversity of Catalan wines and the oenological heritage of our environment”.
For his part, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has remarked that the initiative is "a magnificent opportunity to strengthen the positioning of Salou as a city linked to culture, gastronomy and the quality of Mediterranean life." Granados added that "this fair contributes to deseasonalize tourist activity and offer new experiences throughout the year, linking our municipality with the wine tradition and the identity of the territory."
In turn, the rector of the Rovira i Virgili University (URV), Josep Pallarès, thanked that part of the benefits generated by the Fair are destined to the research carried out by the URV Foundation. The rector explained that the URV will have a space at the Fair, where there will be information on the research and training carried out by the Faculty of Oenology and its departments.
In addition, the winemakers of the URV will make tastings at the fair, participate in the professional sessions, and a monograph of the spinned panpool will be carried out, a variety recovered by the City of Salou.
Dates, times and prices of the Salou SAVI Wine Fair
SAVI will open doors at the Hotel lOlympuse Palace 4* on Friday, November 7 from 5pm to 9pm, and the official opening will take place. The next Saturday will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the last day, Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In terms of prices, there are several packages and tickets:
Package 1: 8 euros, includes: 2 tastings + 1 glass of wine + cup holders
Package 2: at the price of 14 euros, includes: 5 tastings + 1 glass of wine + cup holders
Reposicions 1: 12 euros, which includes: 5 tastings (without a glass)
Reposicions 2: for 3 euros, includes: 1 tasting (no glass)
Gastronomic package: 16 euros, includes 5 gastronomic tickets
