Tourist train of Salou

Salou
The Salou tourist train offers two different circular routes

A different way to get to know Salou and its main places of interest is the tourist train. It offers two tours that allow you to discover the most beautiful and emblematic corners, such as the Monument to the Fisherman, the Salou Lighthouse from 1858 or the church of Santa María del Mar, from the 18th century. In addition, the train goes to PortAventura World. Prices and times are as indicated below for 2023

Currently only the Orange Line works. The route can be started at any of the signposted stops, and it can be done all the way around until you reach the stop where you got on. The tour passes through Masia Catalana, the City Park, the Camino de Ronda, the Luminous fountain, the monument to Jaume I, the Cybernetic fountains, the modernist chalets, the monument to Pescador, the Captaincy General, the old Carrilet station, the Torre Vella and the Santa Maria del Mar church. However, it does not reach Cap Salou or the Lighthouse.

Prices:

The prices of the tourist train of Salou in 2023 are the following:

  • Children (3 to 14 years): 4 euros

The train has adapted ramps and space for wheelchairs (subject to availability). Baby or small children's strollers must be folded and left in a basket provided for this purpose..

Schedules:

The Salou tourist train changes its schedules depending on the time of year. The detailed table of the schedules can be consulted in the attached image, as well as a map of the route.

To find out the specific times at the different stops, consult the attached pdf document.

The prevailing schedule is always that of the stop, but it can cange. If you have any doubts you can call 977 35 01 02 to confirm the schedules.

A spectacular tour:

Line 1 has stops at Masía Catalana, a construction originally conceived in 1974 and which today welcomes, among others, the craft market during the summer months. Nearby is the Parc de la Ciutat, a natural area. The next stop is at PortAventura World.

The tourist train of Salou allows you to discover also the majesty of the Modern Masías of Paseo Jaume I, or the church of Santa María del Mar, dating from the XVIII century. Nearby we see the building of the Capitania (1820), one of the main buildings of the Port of Salou. Finally, and in the main artery of the city, you can admire the monument of the Fisherman - Ramon Ferran's work - as well as the Ornamental Fountains, an authentic spectacle of water, light and color. And the monument to Jaume I, tribute to the Catalan monarch who sailed from Salou in the thirteenth century towards the conquest of Mallorca.

Line 2
(currently out of service) arrives to the Faro de Salou, near the coves of Salou. Among other stops you will pass through Plaza Europa, Salou's nerve center; Pilons - work by Antoni Roselló - one of the symbols of the city and a tribute to the fishermen of Salou. This point marks the beginning of the Camino de Ronda, until Replanells, where you will find the next stop of the trip.

Happy trip with the tourist train and enjoy Salou!
