The rural and cultural world of Palma d'Ebre

 La Palma d'Ebre has a beautiful Romanesque church dating XII and a monumental white pine, known by local poet Joan Pere Lluis Ciuraneta known as the pine with the thousand branches and the people known as the Pine Palma. The journey also shows the rural village, consisting of olive groves, almond trees and vines. The route proposed here, as indicated Estoldrans or Cami del coll de la Creu, to know some of the most characteristic of the term of the Palma d'Ebre. Go to La Palma d'Ebre. To get there, it comes from Mora d´Ebre, the regional capital, to the C-12 towards Flix. Here we take the C-233 and, finally, we turn off the local road T-703. 0.00 km (337 m). Must be placed at the top of the village, over the access road T-703 (north) Street Bassa del Pi. From the garden with a fountain in the middle round, is out of town to the N source, leaving the left and up the path of Granadella, such a wide track. Leave a detour to the right that leads to more of the beating. 0.41 km (361 m) 0 h 07 min. Pi La Palma or of the Thousand Branches, magnificent pine (Pinus halepensis) four times centenary, 5.75 m in circumference of trunk, one of the larger of its kind in Catalonia. Continue back to the track. 0.66 km (358 m) 0 h 12 min. Branching. Turn right (NE) and leave the house to the left of the Tejo. 1.00 km (363 m) 0 h 17 min. Deviation to the right that leads to the reservoir of La Palma. It works down to visit. On the other side of the dam, there is a picnic area (1.40 km, 353 m). The capacity of the reservoir is 1.4 cubic hectometres; water comes from the Montsant river, born in Priorat. It returns to the previous junction and continue climbing to the right NOT leaving the track that runs along the reservoir. Leave two turnoffs on the left side and come to a fork signposted. 2.57 km (388 m) 0 h 40 min. Branching near the neck Poncet, who is on the right (NE). Signpost. It continues to the left (NO) down the shady path, followed by the Hostalet and transept. The trail crosses the neck of the right and goes to Mas Poncet, through Coll de Santpere. It falls and falls gently to the east. The track the hill, crosses a forest and turn back north through a cornice. At the 3.25 kilometer (350 m, 0 h 49 min), must stop: turning towards the left (OS) to the small cliff beneath the track where it came from, you see troglodítiques-embedded houses in the caves, called cave Porrerano. Continue down. 3.36 km (343 m) 0 h 52 min. Branching. It falls to the left (O). The turnoff to the right goes to the vineyards located under the coll Santpere. The track gets worse, making a zigzag up and down the back of the plane, a sedimentation basin that collects water from the small landscape creating a shady green more like moist places. It leads to a track and continue to the left, to the west. 4.08 km (299 m), 1 h 02 min. Leave the road at La Palma Bovera (Les Garrigues). Signpost. It follows the left (OS), now rising, leaving the main track two turnoffs to the right. Head right (N), the path descends to Estoldrans Hostalet old hostelry located on the river of Cana, now in ruins, the old road between Palma and Bovera (located at 400 m is interesting view). 5.19 km (375 m), 1 h 20 min. Cross Coll. Signage. On the right (O), walking trails, access to a good vantage point the environments (the base). The view spans from  Ports, Serra Cavalls, the S, to the lands of La Franja to the west and Montsant, to the east. Continue S down clearly in the direction towards Palma and leaving several turnoffs to the right and left. Entry to the streets of Palma Bovera and is straight from the gardens where it has gone. 6.64 km (337 m), 1 h 40 min. La Palma d'Ebre. End of tour.
