Salou and PortAventura will be promoted jointly at FITUR 2026

Salou. Costa Dorada. 21 December 2025. The alliance of the City of Salou with PortAventura World for the joint promotion of its assets takes on a new dimension with the agreement that has been made public to present "Mediterranean Heritage, unforgettable experiences" in the next edition of the FITUR tourism fair in Madrid, on January 20, 2026. It is a large format event to highlight the Mediterranean identity of Salou and to present the news for the next season of PortAventura World.

The event wants to go beyond conventional presentations to invite you to discover a special tourist proposal, from the Mediterranean essence of Salou (through its history, culture, gastronomy, heritage and landscape) combined with the creative and innovative capacity of PortAventura World.

The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, stressed that "this meeting reinforces the strategy of Salou as a reference tourist destination, based on the value of our Mediterranean heritage, its own identity and a model of sustainable and quality tourism development."

For his part, the general director of PortAventura World, Fernando Aldecoa, pointed out that “from PortAventura World we understand public-private collaboration as a key tool to generate a positive impact on the territory. For this reason, we are pleased to work together with the City of Salou in this meeting, framed in a reference fair such as FITUR”.

The event “Mediterranean Heritage, unforgettable experiences” will take place at the Movistar Arena in Madrid at 7:30 p.m. and can only be accessed by personal invitation. For the time being, apart from the mayor of Salou and the general director of PortAventura World, the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, has already confirmed the attendance; the Minister of Sports of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Berni 'lvarez; the director of the Repsol Guide, Maria Ritter; and Pep Moreno, chef with Michelin Star of Salou, as well as other relevant personalities in the institutional, tourist and gastronomic field.
