Salou is home this weekend for the children of Catalonia karate championship on Thursday

Salou. Costa Dorada. The Catalan Karate Federation jointly with the Department of Sports of the Municipality of Salou organized for this coming Saturday 27 February at 10 the Catalan Championship Karate Kids in the Municipal Sports Pavilion. The championship will be the modalities of Kata (forms) and Kumite (fighting) in which athletes participate juveniles, children and youth with ages ranging from less than 9 years to 13 years. In total there be two categories, Kata and Kumite, where there will be 6 different weights in each category. Each club may register a maximum of two different weights in each karateques forming each category. Sports Councilman David Ninyà, explained that "it is very important that the town host events of this magnitude to desestacionar tourism and give a greater richness to the municipality", and said "the first house Catalonia Championship and later the Spanish Championship Karate is a challenging yet satisfying and hopefully next year will continue to celebrate the town because we have both material and human infrastructure in order to carry it term. Remember that on 20th and 21st March will be held in Salou Spain the Championship Karate by autonomies. It is the largest karate tournament that is in Spain. The winners of this is classify for international championships. The event will host press and will be broadcast by BBC1, Canal +, Euroesport, among other channels specializing in sports.
