The Harlem Globetrotters bring their basketball show Reus Municipal Olympic Hall on Saturday 26 April at 21.00. The legendary New York team is planning a two day stay in the city, where it conducted various promotional events in addition to holding the party, a show of two hours based on humor, sport and skills players with the ball. This show is built on the world tour of the Harlem Globetrotters, who will bring them to visit countries like Romania, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Britain, Switzerland and Andorra, as well as different activities in Catalonia and Spain.
In Reus, is included in the actions that take place within the municipal company Reus Esport i Lleure to place the city in the map of the circuit and sporting events, musical and cultural peak. The recent investment made in the Municipal Olympic Pavilion, which has allowed change the terrazzo flooring for parquet and machine assembly processes of any sports format, have provided that proposals such as the party of the Harlem Globetrotters arrive in Reus. Founded in 1927 by Abe Saperstein, the Harlem Globetrotters have played since its inception more than 20,000 games in 118 countries anywhere in the world. They have even held parties in settings as diverse as boat covers or bullrings.
They have been part of this historic assembly as representative figures of world basketball like Wilt Chamberlain, Meadowlark Lemon or Brands Haynes, of which the Harlem Globetrotters have retired the lats. This show is organized by Luditerranea Management, a company specializing in the development and coordination of recreational and sporting events, with the cooperation of the City of Reus, through the Department of Esports and the municipal Reus, Esports i Lleure.
