Salou to modify traffic on Carles Roig Street due to TramCamp works

Salou will modify traffic on Carles Roig Street from next Tuesday, 11 August, due to the TramCamp construction works. The measure will affect traffic in order to ensure a safe route for pedestrians while the works are underway.

 

Specifically, traffic will be closed from Barenys Street towards Passeig Miramar, in the direction of Cambrils. This change will provide pedestrians with a safe and protected route, clearly separated from both traffic and the construction area.

 

The traffic restrictions will remain in place until the works are completed. Despite the restrictions, access to the football pitch and the car park in the area will remain available.

 

The City Council recommends that drivers plan their journeys in advance and follow all road signs and instructions in place throughout the construction period.

 

What is TramCamp?

TramCamp is the Camp de Tarragona tram project, which will improve urban and interurban mobility across the area. In its first phase, it will connect Cambrils, Salou and Vila-seca along 14 kilometres, with 14 stations and 3 interchange hubs. The project envisages a final network of 46 kilometres and 47 stations, with the first section expected to enter service in the first quarter of 2028.
