PortAventura World and Ferrari Land

Salou. Costa Dorada. 16 June 2020.
PortAventura World has already announced that it will open doors on July 8, although with limitations and with various security measures as a safe tourist destination. PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land, with their offer of attractions, restaurants and shops, will start their activity on July 8 in summer time from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. respectively.

At the same time, the PortAventuraGold RiverMansión de Lucy Colorado Creek hotels, including their respective pools, will open. Instead, all shows will be closed until September and Caribe Aquatic Park will be closed.

The security measures to access PortAventura from July 8 are the following:

  • Temperature control at the entrance of parks and hotels
  • Mandatory mask use throughout the resort
  • New hygiene standards and provision of disinfecting solutions throughout the resort, including continuous cleaning and disinfection at attractions and touch points
  • Reduction of the capacity to 30% of the total capacity and start-up of new flows of people, avoiding large crowds and limiting direct contact as much as possible in order to establish the distance of one and a half meters between people
  • To ensure the limitation of capacity, a new ticketing system is created where the client must reserve the date of his visit in advance. The sale of tickets will be available on the PortAventura World website, on its digital platforms (app, mobile and tablet) and through authorized agencies
  • Placement of signage and informative elements to prevent risks and provide information to visitors
  • Promoting cashless / contactless payment to facilitate the customer experience without physical contact

PortAventura World has reported a team of external consultants who have audited and certified the procedures, management system and infrastructure of the prevention program, so that PortAventura World Resort will open with the “Safe Tourism Certified” tourism seal promoted by the Institute of Tourism Quality Spanish (ICTE).

Just this year, PortAventura World turns 25, in a totally exceptional moment. "For 25 years our purpose has been to create unique experiences that could be enjoyed and, above all, shared with family or friends," said Arturo Mas-Sardà, president of the Board of Directors of PortAventura World Resort, who also thanked the work of health personnel in this crisis and the commitment of the PortAventura team at this time.

For his part, Fernando Aldecoa, general director of Operations and Finance, highlighted that “we have implemented a series of extraordinary measures to offer our parks and hotels a complete experience in a safe environment. PortAventura World Resort is the ideal destination for national tourism seeking a family vacation experience to enjoy its parks, hotels, beach and gastronomy, among other attractions ”.
