Reus. Costa Dorada. The Government of the Generalitat of Catalonia has recognized the Gaudí Center with one of Catalonia Tourism Awards 2009, with which distinguishes persons, companies and institutions that have excelled in favor of promoting tourism in Catalonia. Specifically, the Gaudí Center receives a certificate in tourism during the ceremony to be held on December 3 at 6:00 pm in the Palace of the Generalitat, with the presence of President Jose Montilla. The awards recognize officially Tourism Catalonia effort and dedication of individuals, companies and public and private institutions to promote tourism as a tool to encourage professional behavior and actions, individual or groups  cooperating together to improve the image of Catalan tourism and travel services. The Gaudí Reus Center has played with 70 nominations over the award of a high level, as highlighted the Directorate General of Tourism of the Government, which has made the selection process highly competitive. In the announcement of this year will be awarded a medal of honor, a plaque of honor, ten ten medals and diplomas of tourism resorts. The awards reward the development achieved both economic and social as well as the creation or promotion of initiatives to fulfill a social or economic relationship and entertainment tourism in Catalonia.
