Sabor Salou, the gastronomic fair on the Costa Daurada
Salou. Costa Dorada. 17 May 2025. Attention to all lovers of good food. Prepare for a weekend full of flavors, culture and fun because the XIII edition of Sabor Salou is about to become a party for the senses. From 23 to 25 May, Passeig Jaume I will be the epicenter of gastronomy and joy in the capital of the Costa Dorada.
And what makes Sabor Salou so special? Why is Sabor Salou the best gastronomic fair on the Costa Dorada? Because it is able to gather about forty establishments that offer the best local gastronomy, together with the most select products with the Denomination of Origin of the area. The more than 50,000 tastings that are served and the 40,000 people who each year enjoy this event are proof of the quality of the gastronomic offer of Sabor Salou and the success of its organizational formula.
This fair is also combined with culinary activities and free tastings, with musical performances and activities for children, so that Sabor Salou has been consolidated as a proposal that is not exhausted and that always surprises.
Schedules and activities of Sabor Salou
The opening hours of Sabor Salou are the following:
- Friday 23 May, from 12 h to 24 h
- Saturday, May 24 from 12 h to 24 h
- Sunday 25 from 12 h to 24 h
You can also participate in free tastings and workshops of Sabor Salou, especially on Saturday and Sunday, which are held in the GastroLab tent. In this edition they are the following:
23 May 2025:
- from 7.00 pm to 7.45 pm: Introduction to wine tasting
- at 8 p.m. Cookery workshop
24 May 2025:
- from 12.15 to 13.00 h: Honey Taste
- from 1.15 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. Cooking workshop for everyone
- from 14.15 to 15.00: Cava workshop
- from 4.00 p.m. to 4.45 p.m. Cookie decoration for children
- from 17.00 h to 17.45 h: Oriental cooking workshop showcooking
- from 6.15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Children's pizza creation workshop
- from 8 pm to 8.45 pm: Tasting Beers
- at 8.45 p.m. Cookery workshop
25 May 2025:
- from 12 noon to 12.45 p.m. Showcooking with the Michelin star of Salou, Pep Moreno
- from 1.15 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. Showcooking of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Oil Siurana
- from 14.15 h to 15.30 h: Workshop on poke, wrap and bagel
- from 17.00 h to 17.45 h: Decoration of waffles for children
- from 18.00 h to 18.40 h: Tasting of hazelnuts from the Designation of Origin (DO) Avellana de Reus
- from 7 pm to 8 pm: Children's pizza creation workshop
- from 8.15 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. Tasting Beers
All these activities are free but it is necessary to register in advance in saborsalou.cat / activities, since they are carried out in the GastroLab tent located on the same promenade Jaume I where Sabor Salou is celebrated, and the capacity is limited to 40 people.
Sabor Salou with children
Sabor Salou is a gastronomic fair for all ages and also for families. The extensive schedule of the fair allows you to enjoy all the gastronomic and festive offer to the comfort of each one. In addition, Passeig Jaume I is an open space, in front of the beach, which makes it easy to walk with children.
As if that were not enough, for families with young children Sabor Salou 2025 offers:
- Giant games space in operation on Saturday from 12 to 15 h and from 17 h to 20 hours, in the children's play area, organized by La Xarranca.
- Face painting: Saturday and Sunday, from 5 pm to 7.30 pm, next to the GastroLab tent, by Just Art Events
- Boot workshop: Sunday from 12 am to 3 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm, next to the GastroLab tent, by the Circ dels Musaranyes.
- Free culinary workshops for children:
- on May 24, from 4 pm to 4.45 pm, biscuits decoration workshop for children, and from 6.15 pm to 7.30 pm, children's pizza creation workshop
- on May 25 from 5 to 5.45 p.m., workshop for the decoration of waffles for children, and from 7 to 8 p.m., children's workshop for the creation of pizzas
To participate in the workshops, prior registration is required in saborsalou.cat/activities.
