The Costa Daurada is promoted in Berlin

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. 9th March 2012. The Tourism Council of Tarragona Province touted these days tthe Costa Dorada in the ITB fair in Berlin, through its own space within the stand of the Catalan tourism and international corner under the formula. In addition to the Tourist Board of the Council in this area of Costa Dorada, are represented municipal Tourism Cambrils, El Vendrell, L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, Salou, Tarragona and Torredembarra, Vilaseca, and PortAventura Roman Tarraco. The first three days the fair is open exclusively for professionals, days where representatives of the Provincial Tourism Board met with the German market operators, who initially were established some cooperation agreements and which derives into a relatively positive information regarding market trends this season on the Costa Dorada. Established as one of the most important tourism fairs in the world, the fair ITB Berlin takes place between 7 and 11 March the venue Messe Berlin GmbH. In 2011 the ITB received over 169,000 visitors and had more than 11 000 exhibitors representing 180 countries, occupying an area of ​​160,000 m2. Regarding the German market, it is noteworthy that this is a market that has preference for tour packages and prices closed under the formula "all inclusive", reporting principally through the internet. Spain is the leading destination for German tourists, who visit mainly Balearic Islands and Catalonia. During 2011 there was a recovery of the German market, which remained in Catalonia and the fourth issuer of foreign tourists.
