Reus zoom during Easter visits modernist pavilion Pere Mata and Gaudí Centre

Promotion Agency City Reus increase the frequency and timing of visits late Pavilion distinguished from Reus Institute Pere Mata during Easter and more specifically between 15 and 19 April week . Pavilion distinguished and Gaudí Centre

The Pavilion of the Pere Mata Institute distinguished by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. The construction of the Pere Mata, a center for the mentally ill , began in 1898 and is currently considered one of the jewels of Modernism.

Ward No 6, known as the distinguished flag was designed by Domènech i Montaner to accommodate patients of high economic power and had the highest levels of comfort of the time ( electric lighting , running water, ... ) . After 80 years of continuous use , in 1986 the flag stopped hosting Institut Pere Mata internal nine years after public visits , managed by the Municipal Tourism and Commerce of Reus, integrated into the path of Modernism began.

The Gaudí Centre Reus, located in central Reus, in the Mercadal square, is the only interpretive center on the life and work of the most prominent Modernist architect , Antoni Gaudí.
