Public Safety began a campaign against alcohol and drugs on driving

Salou.Costa Dorada. During February, the Police Force of Salou, in collaboration with the Catalan police and the Catalan Traffic Service will carry out an information campaign aimed at prevention and control of alcohol and drugs on driving. The campaign must be accompanied by a statistical work in Catalonia and will be under instructions provided by the Catalan Traffic Service to police.   Regarding the municipal level of Salou, the local police establish preventive controls throughout the municipality in areas of greatest impact on driving and several time zones covering the campaign. The aim of the campaign is to prevent, detect and immobilize the maximum number of drivers with positive results and above all, know the danger to other drivers and one for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. Marco Alarcón, councilor of Public Safety, Civil Protection Mobility and stressed the positive value of these initiatives "because only awareness and prevention campaigns such as this, can further reduce the number of traffic accidents on the roads of Catalonia."
