The Squid Fishing Contest Salou reaches the XXXV edition

Salou. Costa Dorada. As usual, the culture department of the City of Salou, organized a year the traditional squid fishing competition this year comes to an issue XXXV. From Monday 16 November until Friday 20th November is open enrollment period, open to all professionals and amateur fishing for squid that wish to participate. The squid fishing competition will take place between 23 and 28 November inclusive, from 15:15 am until sunset, with 1845 hours time limit for submission of weight control. As is traditional, the start and end times of fishing time will be notified by launching a rocket. This year also distributed trophies to 1st, 2nd and 3rd, the pattern of each class and a memorial to other participants. Moreover will be awarded the following trophies: the largest squid, smaller squid, another prize for anyone who fished the largest number of squid jig also the gold for you. After the contest, on Saturday 28 at 21.30 pm will be held the awards dinner at the Club Náutico Salou with the price of € 30 per ticket. The reservation and ticket sales will be in the same restaurant of the Club Náutico Salou. But this year, the municipal government has sought to popularize this event and extend "the rest of the citizenry. In this sense, the next day Sunday, the 29th, at one o'clock and under the pier breakwater of the festival will conclude with a tasting of fideuá popular with squid and popular entertainment. The price shall be one euro per person. Tickets may be acquired from the same day from 12 pm the jetty pier, while supplies last.
