Princess Letizia preside over the day against skin cancer in Salou

Salou. Costa Dorada. On June 14, 2011 at 18:30 pm in the Auditorium Theatre Salou (TAS) will be held the day of the Spanish Association Against Cancer "Skin has a memory '. This is a day of information and social awareness about cancer skin and in particular on melanoma, a disease of increasing incidence in our country. The Princess of Asturias and Girona, Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano, will chair the event. The City of Salou collaborate actively in this conference giving the Auditorium Theatre of Salou association and collaboration in publicizing this event. The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, said "We are very pleased to host this conference in our town because it is aware of and support to people affected by cancer against this disease we must fight together" and He added that "we should highlight the great work carried out by the AECC to carry out research projects and dissemination and particularly to support patients. The AECC is a NPO (nonprofit organization), closed and declared a public utility that takes 58 years working in the fight against cancer. The aecc includes patients, family members, volunteers and professionals working together to prevent, awareness, support and accompany those affected and fund cancer research projects that allow a better diagnosis and treatment of cancer. AECC develops its work through its more than 15,000 volunteers and 718 employees under a philosophy of collaboration with health authorities, scientific institutions and other entities that have the same goal of the association. All this provided the principles of independence, professionalism, transparency and closeness.
