The Second Conference of Romesco arrives in Tarragona

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. Undoubtedly, The Seraglio was the birthplace of romesco. With this in mind, where better than the Seraglio could make a gastronomic romesco sauce to put in where it belongs: the Tarragona dish par excellence. This time from 15 to 30 October 2011. In November last year, the Association of Restorers & Dealers Serrallo we initiated the First Days Romesco of Tarragona, the Seraglio, with the participation of all the associated restaurants. Twenty twenty restaurants offered menus romescaires. All different. All romescos. We have four tastings popular romesco, market and Tarragona Seraglio. We also went to two nearby schools in the district to teach the little ones as it was the bite of the traditional romesco from Tarragona. And we recall the first competition of Tarragona Romescaires Teachers, held in 1951 in the Seraglio, paying tribute to the first winner. Food, culture, tradition, history, cooking .... a little of everything, but much of romesco. This year we start out the II Meeting with renewed passion and interesting news: Sixteen days instead of nine. Five tastings popular street. Blues concerts in the neighborhood. The restaurants open their kitchens and how they teach and how to cook the chopped romescos themselves.
