Salou hosts the XII International Chess Open Vila de Salou from the 4th to 12th May

This year, the Chess Club Salou, in conjunction with the City of Salou, Tarragona and the Department of Culture of the Government, have organized a new edition of the International Chess Open held town of Salou is from 4 to 12 May in the town. This twelfth edition will feature more than sixty participants, among whom there are 20 grand masters of this discipline from 18 different countries.   The President of the Chess Club Salou, Francesc Liñan, explained: "We are very pleased with this great participation and hope that the tournament is a success as it has been in previous editions. The tournament will be played at the Hotel Cap Salou, located at c / Cala Font, Salou 1. The games begin tomorrow on 4 May from 16:30, and end on Wednesday 12th May at 9.30 am with the 9th round. Then there will be a luncheon ceremony at 4.30pm.
