XVII Biennial of Contemporary Catalan Art in Cambrils



Cambrils. Costa Dorada. On Thursday 8th July at 8:00 pm inaugurates the XVII Biennial of Contemporary Catalan Art in Sala Agora in Cambrils. The youngest of the art is in Cambrils from 8 July to 27 August 2010. Cambrils culture kept alive the flame alive and active in this context of cultural events and commitment to contemporary art, showing the Catalan Contemporary Art Biennale 2010 as the first city tour of this exhibition, which will close in December Tarragona 2011. This biennial of young art, that combines Catalan towns in an effort to encourage more young and innovative art that is currently emerging in the country, has selected 11 of the 125 artists who responded to the call were presented in October 2009 . The works chosen are representative of different currents of plastic that currently cultivate artists in the country. The lands of Tarragona are well represented in the current edition of the Biennial artists by Ariadne Mangrané Amposta, paint and Gasol Daniel Tarragona, with works on paper. The 2010 is a biennial art today and boost motivation of society towards the spirituality of human beings. In times of constant changes of modern society, the XVII Biennial of Contemporary Art wants to be Catalan in 2010 addressed a warning to society, showing the diversity of forms and sensibilities of young artists from different backgrounds to create a world than through the visual arts. It is the creative dialogue between cultures. Jury The Jury of the Biennale in 2010 represents the arts sector in Catalonia this year and is composed by Louis Campins, director of the Museum of Sant Cugat, Antonio belt, art historian and coordinator of the Centre d'Art La Panera in Lleida , Alex Mitrani, art critic and independent curator, Joseph Montoya, Dean of Culture Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and Aureli Ruiz, visual artist and Reus. Participating artists Laura Cuchi, Mar Garcia, Daniel Gasol, Miriam Smith, Mercedes Hernandez, Antonio Hervas, Tamara Kuselman Daniel Lumbreras, Ariadna Mangrané, Virginia and Vallilengua Zosen. Itinerary Sant Cugat del Valles (inaugural city), Cambrils, Mollet del Vallès, Rubí, Barcelona, Vilafranca del Penedes, Montserrat Olesa, Manlleu, Tortosa, Lleida and Tarragona Tarrega. New technologies The Biennial is once again committed to new technologies and the catalog is published with the paper and also has a website where you can find all the information in Catalan, Spanish and English.
