The Cambrils Tourist Board has installed a QR code 23 attractions to complement the town in French, German and Russian information signals, which are in Catalan, Spanish and English. The plan is to extend it to thirty points progressively. Specifically, the codes were installed on the following points: Three Eras Mill, Agricultural Museum of Cambrils, the Port Tower, Roman Villa La Llosa, Chapel of the virgin trail, Vilafortuny Church, Castle Vilafortuny Church Mas d'en Bosch, Church of St. Peter's Church of Santa Maria, Red Light,, Riudoms, Samà Park, WDonesmen Remendadores, , Statue Cardinal Vidal i Barraquer, Aton Gimbernat Memorial, Plaza of Marcelino Domingo, Nen Pescadorl. The information on QR codes can be read with a digital image capture device like a cell phone and do not need to be connected to Internet, so that tourists can access the content without the cost of roaming. The images are printed on vinyl and the design was made from the same board. Therefore, the only cost of the project has been printing. The QR Code is a two-dimensional barcode (code matrix) that can store up to 7089 and 4296 numeric characters alphanumeric characters (as opposed to traditional bar code that can only store 10 to 13 characters) or 2953 bytes. The Councillor for Tourism, Xavier Martin, explained that QR codes are a clear commitment to new technologies that allow 3 to 6 languages extend the tour.
