Torredembarra starts the eighth Gastronomic Days of Autumn and the First Fair of Artisan Beer

Torredembarra. Costa Dorada. This coming Saturday, October 10 will be held the First Fair of Artisan Beer of Torredembarra and the the VIII Gastronomic Days of Autumn which will last until December 13. The Chairman of the Trustees, Pedro Font, explained that these days are a demonstration of the quality of the restaurants scene of Torredambarra. Among the novelties of this year, it has been emphasized the incorporation of the tapas because of the 15 participating restaurant, 12 offer menus and 3 offer a selection of tapas. He also emphasized that, on this occasion, the conference will last 2 months with the aim that guests have more time to go to restaurants as possible. For this reason, the first 15 people to fill out a ticket proving with 5 different restaurants will be awarded. Participating restaurants are: Al Capone da Franco Xaloquell Bar, Cal Quim, Can Gla, Cargol Punxenc, El Capitan, El Vaixell, Coca Hostel, Il Capriccio, Itsasoa, Jaume Drudis, La Cuina d'en Basili, Las Palmeras, Llevant and Noi. These restaurants have prepared a series of menus with a selection of seasonal dishes and quality at a price of 30 € (VAT included). The tapas will make that offer to 15 € to choose 5. The I Fair of Artisan Beer will coincide with the day of the conference starting on 10 October and will take place in Plaça del Castell, from 11 am to 1 am. The organization is run by Beer Estraperlo and has as partners the City Council of Torredembarra and City Tourist Board, among others. Oriol Nuñez Estraperlo said that different catalan companies will take part such as Bleder, Dedues, Rosita, Clandestines, Agullons, Reptilian, CCM, Glops and Estraperlo. The price of the beer is 1, 5 €, and there will be food made from the wooden oven. At dusk, there will be live music performances. Also there will be ruffles to win packs of artisan beer. The organizers have expressed to be very excited about this first edition of the show which they expect to continue in the coming years. During the presentation the mayor, Daniel Masagué, thanked the work of the Municipal Board of Tourism to promote the undertaking of activities at a time (fall / winter) economically more difficult for establishments in the municipality. He also thanked the efforts of the participating restaurants and exposed that together they must develope initiatives to attract more visitors to Torredembarra and make it fasionable. In this line, he has congratulated the producer of the beer Estraperlo for organizing this first show and for finding a differentiated product that implicitly promotes Torredembarra.
