Vilaseca is a municipality in the Tarragona region bordering the major towns in the Costa Daurada: Reus, Tarragona, Salou and Cambrils. Vilaseca has about 22,000 inhabitants in three villages: Vila-Seca, Plana and La Pine. This population was separated from Salou to late 80s after a long controversy. The inhabitants of this town by the name of village-and town-dry areas dry land.

Vilaseca enjoys a pleasant climate throughout the year. The average temperature during the summer is about 25 degrees, and during the rest of the year the temperature never drops of 10 degrees on average. La Pineda Beach is one of the largest public spaces open to the sea and became one of the most privileged areas of the Costa Dorada.
