Tarragona: home of the 5th part of the Ciclying Tour finishing in Vinaròs

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. The Tour of Spain starts its journey on Thursday 3er Setember of 2009 through the Spanish territory, in a stage of 174 km that will connect the city of Tarragona with Vinaròs in the province of Castellon. This time, the Tour has started in the town of Assen Netherlands, this being the most international of its editions. A total of 3292.3 km to ride until 20 September, the day when the competition ends in Madrid. Tarragona Stage starting at noon in the round-about of the Rambla Vella and the Via Augusta. It will go on 6.6 km in the city, through the Road of William Bryant, Tour of Spain, Calle de Orosi, Calle de Apodaca, Union Street, Rambla Nova, Placa Imperial Tarraco and Avenida de Roma. The exit will be done by the National 340 Castellón direction, passing by Vila-seca, Cambrils and Salou. On Thursday, day on which the Tour begins in Tarragona, the runners will gather and pass through control at the roundabout on the Rambla Vella, near La cabeza del Circo, from 12:10 till 12:55. The “neutral”race will start at Bryant Road at 13:05 through Passeig D´Espanya, Orosius, Apodaca, Rambla Nova, Unio untill the Mediterranean balcony from where the runners will come down to Plaza Imperial Tarraco, Rome Avenue till the N - 340. At 13:22, kilometer 1158 the race will begin in Campclar, direction Vilaseca, until its final address in Vinaròs, Castellón. As control measures for the organization of the Tour, the Guardia Urbana will begin at 6 am on Wednesday,3rd the removal of vehicles parked on the streets Passeig d´Espanya, Orosi, Apodaca, Union and Rambla Nova. The closing of the Rambla Vella will be at 7 and then the streets will be cut and opened according to the needed routes. At approximately 17 pm traffic on the Rambla Vella will be restored.
