Vandellòs. Costa Dorada. In early 2012 is expected to begin the remodeling of Ca Tower, a listed building which is included in the Catalogue of the historical art of effective planning in Vandellòs. Its value is linked to the medieval tower attached, called the Tower, and cultural significance that is the long line of family Gil-Vernet, a former owner of the building, which has had several generations of doctors of international repute. The restoration work will last a year and have been awarded the Construction Incoex BS, SL for one million euros approximately. This project, written by the architects Juan Figuerola, Joan C. Gavaldà and George J. Romera, is a project funded by the Single Plan Works and Government Services 2008-2012 (PUOSC). Watching the whole rehabilitation of the main building, old agricultural warehouses and back garden (now owned by the council) to allocate it to cultural facilities. Specifically, will host an information center in the history of Ca La Torre, the Tower (which had a defensive function and monitoring of the environment) and people Vandellòs, the headquarters of the municipal archives service areas Vandellòs with cultural tourism office and classroom workshops, spaces for local authorities and related services, a multipurpose room and an outdoor public garden space. All this will inform the public, on Friday 7 October at 20.30 in Auditorium Vandellòs. The presentation of this project sponsored by the City Council, through the municipal company that oversees economic development (IDETSA) is one of the events scheduled in the town as part of the celebration of European Heritage Days in Catalonia.
