The eighth race of spring collected 7,500 euros for the fight against cancer

Salou. Costa Dorada. 6th May 2012. Salou has completed the eighth race in Spring of the fight against cancer a success in terms of participation, which have collected about 7,500 euros. The winner of the race of 10 kilometers was Sergio Hidalgo Team Runners World, followed by Mogi Gervis Martin and Salvador, as a third place, while in the female test Anahi Herrera confirms the podium last year, followed by Pilar Vaquero and Ivet Farriols. Other awards were also presented in the 4 km race, children, and the best costumes, among others. The group represented Freesia, Elaine McParland, has welcomed the high turnout and the support they receive year after year in this and other events organized by the charitable organization provided with funding. For its part, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, who along with the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Maria Jose Rodriguez, the awards have been handed congratulated for the work carried out and Freesia Group also wanted to a special mention to all those who today have supported the race. Funds raised will be directed to organizations that fight cancer: the Spanish Association Against Cancer, the National Center for Cancer Research (CNIO) and the association of children with cancer AFANOC which is based in Tarragona.
