Xalet Bonet or Xalet Voramar

Paseig Jaume I
Salou
Xalet Bonet, Salou - Costa Daurada

The xalet Bonet or xalet Voramar, built by Ciríac Bonet in 1918, is a magnificent example of late modernism. By architect Domènec Sugranyes i Gras, disciple and collaborator of Antoni Gaudí. The interior rooms are lavishly decorated with wall paintings representing the departure of King Jaume I to the beaches of Salou for the conquest of Mallorca, as well as other reasons.

The beauty and balance that conveys this colossal Villa is enhanced by the garden is sensed within the walls of the property, behind which stands a shrine whose dome of tiles take us to the image of the Parc Güell, with its decorations based on fragments ceramic color. The Sundial who chairs the corner, made pottery also contains a written thought and neo-Gothic calligraphy reads: "Seize the time that passes and does not return ...".
