Salou welcomes the Seventh People's Spring Race

Salou. Costa Dorada. Once again, the City of Salou collaborates with the Freesia Group in celebration of the Seventh People's Race for the fight against cancer will take place on Sunday 8 May 2011. The start time of the race will be at 10 am from the Paseo Jaime I in Salou. Participants may choose between two types of studies with different levels of difficulty. The first tour will be 4 km long and will be aimed at beginners and walkers under 12. The second route is 10 km and is aimed at athletes better prepared. Elaine McParland, representative of the association explained that "our goal is to exceed € 6,000 made in 2010 for cancer organizations in Spain." Last year he recalled were about 700 registered runners completed the course of the two races. Many of them dressed, giving playful tone to the race. McParland said that "currently there are about 300 participants signed up but hopefully exceed 1,000 participants. Entries can be made through the website of the association until Friday May 6 and the starting point, until the same 9.15hores Sunday 8 May. The mayor of Salou, the. Proceeds from registrations will be distributed among various Spanish associations that promote research and treatment of cancer as AFANOC Association, the National Center for Cancer Research or aecc.
