Exhibition "Leyendas del deporte" until November 13 at the Auditorium Theater

Salou. Costa Dorada. 16 October 2025. The yellow jersey of the Tour de France by Miguel Induráin, the shoes with which Usain Bolt won gold at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016, and original material by Rafa Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Pau and Marc Gasol, Alexia Putellas or Leo Messi are some of the more than 200 objects of the exhibition “Leyendas del deporte”, which can be visited at the Auditorium Theatre of Salou (TAS) until November 13, 2025.

The exhibition even has an authentic Ferrari Formula 1, as well as Olympic torches, original equipment and signed objects, as well as an audiovisual space that allows you to relive unforgettable moments in the history of world sport.

The exhibition is free and open to everyone, and has already traveled more than 60 cities throughout the state. Through the objects it presents, the exhibition aims to pay tribute to the great deeds of sport, and recognize the talent, effort, overcoming, teamwork, passion and dedication of the great figures of sports history, which are references for young people and adults.

At the opening ceremony, the Councilor for Sports, Yeray Moreno, stressed that "the municipal government is making a firm commitment to promoting sport as a tool for social cohesion, health and projection of Salou as a reference sports destination." He also thanked the collaboration of the local entities, which have contributed materials and memories of their sporting achievements.

For his part, the director of the Museo del Deporte promoter of the exhibition, Alfonso Noáin, said that 'Leyendas del Deporte' "is an emotional journey through the deeds that have marked our collective memory. Each piece has a human history behind it and transmits universal values such as effort, perseverance and overcoming”.

No'in also highlighted the importance of giving visibility to women’s and adapted sport, and gave as an example the Nàstic Genuine, a pioneering team of players with intellectual disabilities, and figures such as Alexia Putellas, a symbol of talent and perseverance.

In his speech, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, stressed the importance of hosting an exhibition of this level for the municipality, and has especially stressed that "we have to make women have even more presence in the world of sport, because they deserve it for their permanent effort and their ability to overcome."

Granados also emphasized the importance of sport for tourism in the municipality, and how "this exhibition is also an excellent way to reinforce the image of Salou as a top-level sports destination, recognized both at the state and international level," he concluded.

Before making the tour of the exhibition, the mayor Pere Granados has given the director of the Museum of Sport, Alfonso No'in -navarrès who summers often in Salou - with a replica of the monument to Jaume I, symbol of the history and identity of the municipality.
