It arrives Festa al Cel: the biggest show ever seen on the Costa Dorada

Salou. Costa Dorada. 07 August 2025. Salou is preparing to host the most important large-format show on the Costa Dorada: the Festa al Cel, which will take place on the weekend of 19, 20 and 21 September 2025. The participation of 20 civil and military air teams and formations is confirmed, and the attendance of more than 200,000 people is expected, who will be able to enjoy, free of charge, a unique air show in Spain with acrobatic patrols, combat aircraft, helicopters and historical aircraft from all over Europe.

This is the first time that Salou hosts an event of these characteristics, which, despite the challenge it poses, will highlight its organizational capacity and the important tourist infrastructure and services it has.

The program of the Festa al Cel is the following:

• Friday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the beaches of Salou: training day, open to the public, during which the teams will make test flights and technical checks.

• Saturday, September 20, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., on the Levante beach of Salou: light and sound show with the Sunset Airshow, a sunset exhibition with illuminated flights, aerial choreographies, music and synchronized pyrotechnics.

• Sunday, September 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the beach: Great Airshow, an exciting aerial display full of acrobatics.

Among the participating teams and aircraft in the Festa al Cel the following stand out:

• Tigre and Chinook Helicopters (Earth Army)
• Classic aircraft such as Hispano Aviación Super Saeta, Texan T6, Dornier, Akrobat, Trener and Bückers (Fundació Parc Aeronàutic de Catalunya)
• Cessna 152, 172, 182, Tecnam P2006T and Pipistrel Velis Elektro (Aeroclub Barcelona – Sabadell)
• AT802F Fireboss (Bombers of the Generalitat de Catalunya)
• Amphibious DHC-6 Twin Otter (Isla Air)
• Sea Rescue AW139 Helicopter (SAR)

The Festa al Cel will also offer children's spaces, informative activities, space for eating and drinking, and observation areas adapted for people with reduced mobility. In addition, and unlike other aerial festivals, in the Festa al Cel de Salou the public will not have the sun on the face, which guarantees a more comfortable and optimal visual experience during all exhibitions.

Among the novelties presented by the Festa al Cel with respect to previous editions, it is worth highlighting a commercial and exhibition space that will bring together companies linked to the sector and the aeronautical industry. This professional meeting point aims to promote synergies, generate business opportunities and bring technological innovation in the sector closer to the general public.

The Festa al Cel of Salou has been presented in Madrid with the attendance of the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados; the director of the festival, Daniel Ventura González; the pilot Juan Velarde; and Manuel Cuenca, captain of the Air and Space Army.
