Salou welcomes in summer with three bonfires and two verbenas

The Salou Town Hall's Cultural Services area, together with the Leisure and Youth area, once again organizes a series of activities to enjoy the longest night of the year, the traditional Revetlla de Sant Joan, next Sunday, June 23 and to welcome the summer with a triple bonfire along the beach.

Among the scheduled events, it is worth mentioning the parade of the beasts of fire and the festive elements at 8:00 pm, departing from the Lluminosa Fountain of La Morena and Xaloc, and from the Club Nàutic de Salou del Ball de Diables i les Bruixes "Latemó", which will join the Placa de les Comunitats Autònomes. The arrival of the Flama del Canigó will also take place in the Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes, where the public and the heir of Salou will be responsible for going to find it and subsequently turn the pepper into Salou. This central act, accompanied by the reading of the Missatge de Foc de Sant Joan, will take place at 09:30 p.m. in the Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes. Next you can enjoy the sardana dance "Salou Ciutat Pubilla" by the Associació Sardanista Contrapunt d'Onades.

At night, as of 22 hours, the Morena and Xaloc de Salou will be responsible for carrying the flame and lighting the bonfire on the Playa de Levante, at the height of Verge del Pilar Street, at Starting at 10:30 p.m. Then the publics and the heir of Salou will light the bonfire of Playa de Llevant, at the height of the Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes. And lastly, the Ball dels Diables Maleïts and the Bruixes Latemó of Salou will be responsible for carrying the flame and lighting of the bonfire located in the Poniente-Espigó de Moll Beach. Next, at 23h, a great popular concert with the La Fania orchestra in the Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes.

Regarding the acts organized by Joventut, these begin at 23 hours with music and the "Revetlla Jove" that seeks to attract a younger audience with the performance of Dj's Joan Monty, D-Lort and Nick Wolder on the beach from Ponent, around the Espigó del Moll.

The areas of Cultural Services, and of Leisure and Youth, the Salou Local Police and Civil Protection instigate to acquire the maximum precautions in the manipulation of firecrackers and the firing of bonfires. Also remember the Campanya Revetlles amb Precaució carried out by the Generalitat de Catalunya that can be consulted on the web with all the advice that has already been explained in different schools of Salou through informative talks. Also, remember that the only emergency telephone number is 112. At the end of the day, a special cleaning team will pass through the beaches of Salou to get them ready for swimmers next day
