Salou. Costa Dorada. 24 October 2026. Next Monday, October 26, at 8:00 p.m., Salou will officially kick off one of its most prominent celebrations: the Festa Major del 30 d'Octubre (Town Festival). This year, the honor of delivering the traditional pregó (opening speech) from the City Hall's plenary room will fall to Teresa Villagrán González, the current president of the Salou's Colla Gegantera (Giants Association).
After giving her speech, Villagrán will take center stage for another of the day's most symbolic moments. As the town crier, she will be in charge of lighting the traca (inaugural firecrackers) that will announce the official start of the festivities and kick off the celebrations for the coming days.
