Everything is set in the city of Salou to celebrate the San Juan festivities, a night full of tradition, fireworks displays and live music. Residents look forward to this moment with such excitement that the night will become the first major gathering of summer 2026.
At dusk on 23 June, the Flama del Canigó will arrive at 7:45 p.m. at Passeig Jaume I on motorcycles led by Moto Club Barenys. The city’s pubilles and heir, aboard the tourist train, will tour Salou together to announce the arrival of the flame through several streets before reaching Espigó del Moll.
Once the route has been completed, the correfoc will begin at 8:15 p.m., featuring Diables Maleïts, les Bruixes Latemó, Xaloc and Morena de Salou. Accompanied by the heir, the pubilles and the flame, the procession will travel from Passeig Jaume I to plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes. Salou City Council recommends following the advice issued by the Department of the Interior and Public Safety of the Government of Catalonia as part of the “No petis la revetlla” campaign.
Afterwards, at 9:00 p.m., the official reception of the flame and the reading of the San Juan Fire Message will take place, followed by a traditional sardana dance performance. The fireworks display, one of the highlights of the evening, will take place on Llevant Beach immediately after the sardana.
Meanwhile, the family celebration will begin at 10:30 p.m. in Plaça de la Pau, followed by the magical lighting of the San Juan bonfire. The orchestra “La Fania” will lead the festivities during the grand popular celebration in plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes, bringing an unforgettable San Juan night in 2026 to a close.
