Three days of mourning for the Toledo train accident

Due to the fatal train accident in Toledo and the national mourning declared by the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya for October 29, 30, and 31, 2026, the Salou City Council has rescheduled the Salouween festival for November 6, 7, and 8, 2026.

Furthermore, the City Council will announce new dates for the events of the Festa Major del 30 d’Octubre that can be rescheduled due to conflicting with the days of official mourning.

In a statement, the City Council expressed "its deepest condolences and respect to all those affected by this tragedy." A minute of silence was held before the Plenary Session on October 28 and, in the evening, in the City Hall lobby.
