Mayor of Salou gives his Christmas greetings to 400 people with the traditional "broth"

The attendants tasted the broth in La Masia Catalana of Salou.

Salou. Costa Dorada. 17 December 2017. About 400 neighbours met today at La Masia Catalana to receive, according to the tradition, the Christmas greeting from the Mayor of Salou. In the same act, the also typical "broth" was served as compliance from the town hall. This meeting, already a must for lovers of these parties, has had the happy and festive atmosphere of every year. On this occasion, the Cor Duorum from the Municipal Music School of Salou accompanied the event. The Mayor, Pere Granados, started the act along with other components of the municipal corporation.

Granados had the opportunity to explain the projects carried out by the municipal government, including the “sector 04”. "2018 will be a great year, because we will be executing many investments and, most of all, because of the approval of the partial plan of sector 04 that is starting tomorrow with a process of the plenary where there will be new hotel places and a sports city to promote the economy and work in the municipality." The Mayor emphasized the effort made to recover the entire natural environment of Cala Crancs.

After the speech, "provisions" came: more than 300 litres of broth were served, and also bread with tomato and cold meat. The meal ended with "musician dessert" (assorted nuts). There was also a concert of 'dixie' carols and the youngest ones have enjoyed the visit of the Pink Panther and Winnie the Pooh. Many children took the opportunity to visit La Masia Catalana and the exhibition of typical Catalan birds and beasts that will remain at La Masia until past the Day of the “Reyes Magos” (6th January).
