The mayor was one of those in charge of serving paella rations

Salou. Costa Dorada. 30 October 2018.
Almost 900 servings of paella have been served on the midday of the celebration of October 30. The event was intended to honor the anniversary of the day of segregation of the municipality of Vila-seca, 29 years ago. This afternoon the town councilors, headed by the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, have served the massive paella in the Pavilion Salou Center that have gathered around two in the afternoon in a meeting that has ended with dance.
The mayor stressed that "the food serves to celebrate that October 30 in which Salou was established as a municipality." About 870 people have gathered around the pan who have enjoyed two euros of rice, as well as bread, drink and dessert. For the pan, of large dimensions, 200 liters of broth have been used; 100 kilos of rice, 150 kilos of meat, and 90 kilos of vegetables, and have been prepared up to a thousand dishes.
But the activities of the day have begun with a popular lunch before the tourism board, organized by the Friends Association of October 30, the mass with the wreath, and the parade of popular elements of Salou.
Already at night, the party continued with the outbreak of fires in the Jaume I walk at 9pm, and the subsequent dinner on October 30th.
