The Gastronomic Fair "Sabor Salou" expects 40,000 attendees this weekend

Salou. Costa Dorada. 03 May 2018. The eighth edition of the "Sabor Salou" fair, which aims to highlight the gastronomy and restoration of the capital of the Costa Dorada, is held this weekend. The organization expects more than 40,000 attendees to enjoy both the activities related to gastronomy, and the show that accompanies it.

This gastronomic fair offers in 2018 a renewed gastronomic offer and a new image. The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, considers that "it is a gastronomic sample already consolidated, that puts in value our gastronomy and the products of the territory".

The eighth edition of the Sabor Salou fair, organized by the Councilor for Citizen Participation, and in this edition has more than 30 participating establishments, provides about 40,000 attendees between 4, 5 and 6 May in the Passeig Jaume I Salou

The inauguration will take place on Friday, May 4 at 6pm at the Passeig Jaume I in Salou, and will be attended by the Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Julia Gómez, and chef Raimon Queralt, of the restaurant Racó del riu, as well as several town councilors.

New central space

The eighth edition of Sabor Salou stands out for the use of a central tent where different types of recreational and gastronomic activities will be carried out by different institutions and companies in the area. These activities are:

- Grupo Atrezzo: Animation and musical show

- Conserves Merca Delta: Realization of a show cooking with demonstration of natural products and fresh del Delta.

- Show cooking Ariadna Tous: Showcooking a recipe for "two meats at three sauces", a dish made with seasonal ingredients with exotic touches.

- AGT: Special cooking show

- Flamenco: La Herreria company will perform a show with a box, a box, a flamenco guitar, a transverse flute, two voices and 6 dancers that form a different show.

- Culinary techniques (Sunday morning): Conducting a cooking show with marine contrasts and culinary techniques applied to Mediterranean cuisine.

This space will serve to promote and publicize the products of proximity of Tarragonès. However, the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Julia Gomez, explained that "the objective of this year is to increase the quality and diversity of the offer by offering tastings, activities, games, inflatables and workshops for the whole family."

In the same way, this edition is strongly aimed at the use of social networks and the involvement and citizen participation in this fair based on constant previous draws and during the celebration of the fair.

In this sense, in the Instagram of Sabor Salou (@ saborsalou2018) they are making different raffles thanks to the exhibitors. In these raffles you must participate following the account, giving like to the publication and labeling two friends. In this way you can win a dinner, a tapas menu among others.

New image for Sabor Salou

For this new edition we have opted for the realization of a new image of Sabor Salou where a total of 6 colors have been used in order to show the diversity that can be found in this gastronomic fair. A more innovative image is also offered to one of the most popular and popular spaces in the Costa Dorada area. On the other hand, we also wanted to represent a fusion of the sea with the city: two of the most characteristic elements of Salou.

However, the renewal of this image has been created to standardize the communication channels of Sabor Salou in the face of future editions, giving a more professional touch.

New payment organization

This edition as a novelty the price of the tasting tapas has been unified at € 1.50. In this way, the figure of the traditional salouets has been replaced by a unit price for all tapas tasting at the fair.

Fair Schedules

The Sabor Salo 2018 Fair will open this Friday, May 4 at 6 pm and will remain open until Sunday, September 6, Friday, April 4, from 5 pm to 10 pm; Saturday 5, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 6, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
