Terrifying night in Salou: monsters take to the streets in a massive and magical Salouween

Salou. Costa Dorada. 08 November 2026.
After being postponed as a sign of national mourning for the tragic train accident in Urda, Salou has brought back its most terrifying and fun celebration. This weekend, monsters came out of hiding to take over the streets in a Salouween where vampires, zombies, and all kinds of creatures shared the party with hundreds of families, locals, and visitors.

The main event of the day was the highly anticipated Salouween Parade. The procession, which started at the Teatre Auditori de Salou (TAS) and culminated at Passeig Jaume I, filled the town with surprise and mystery. The parade featured the full involvement of local groups, entertainment by Destroy Silence, and an unprecedented sight: the Gegants de Salou dressed up for the occasion.

The epicenter of fear and fun

The arrival of the parade at Passeig Jaume I—where a giant skeleton welcomed everyone—merged the procession with Salouween Street. The space turned into a massive open-air party where the fully engaged and costumed crowd mingled with the show's characters, making it impossible to distinguish where the parade ended and the spontaneous party began. Nearby, at Plaça Bonet, the Salouween Street Market complemented the weekend-long festivities.

An intergenerational celebration

Salouween was designed so that everyone had their own space. For the little ones, Plaça del Carrilet was the children's meeting point. Amidst terrifying face-painting workshops, hot chocolate, coca and roasted chestnuts, boys and girls experienced that magical boundary between the fear of monsters and the joy of a family party.

For the elderly, the Casal hosted a themed dance that brought the Halloween spirit to another generation, an event attended by the mayor, Pere Granados, and councilors Julia Gómez and Hector Máiquez.

The return of Salouween not only filled the streets with magic, laughter, and little scares, but it also proved once again to be a true engine for Salou's commercial and tourist activity in the middle of autumn.
