Salou, in the Council of Experts of the Hospitality Association of the province

Part of the Expert Council of l'AEHT a Salou

Salou. Costa Dorada. 19 June 2020.
Chef Pep Moreno of the Deliranto restaurant in Salou has put on the jacket that accredits him as a member of the Council of Experts of the Hospitality Association of the province of Tarragona (AEHT). The Michelin star obtained a few months ago has catapulted Moreno to this Council, which brings together all the Michelin stars of the province and the restaurants distinguished with the Sun of Repsol.

El Deliranto is the first restaurant in Salou to obtain a Michelin star, and its achievement has also meant recognition of the work of the Salou City Council in recent years to promote quality gastronomy in the municipality.

At the presentation of the expert jacket, the president of the AEHT, Francesc Pintado, praised the Saloan chef not only for his profession but also for his leadership before the Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of Salou.

For his part, the mayor of the capital of the Costa Dorada, Pere Granados, thanked the support of the AEHT and recalled the economic measures approved by the City Council to help the sector in the face of the situation caused by COVID19. The mayor has also highlighted the importance of gastronomy and gastronomic tourism for Salou.

In his speech, Pep Moreno recalled the "colleagues who will close doors due to this serious crisis" and thanked the support of the AEHT and is its president and the mayor of Salou.

The Expert Council is currently made up of Joan Gómez, from Restaurant Miramar; Joan Bosch, from Can Bosch; Ruben Antonio Campos, from El Rincón de Diego; Jeroni Castell, from Les Moles; Fran López, from Villa Retiro; Jordi Jardí, from l’Escola d’Hoteleria i Turisme de Cambrils; and, from today, also, by Pep Moreno, chef of the 'Deliranto' Restaurant in Salou.

The act of imposing the expert jacket on Moreno was also attended by the Councilor for Economic Dynamization of the Salou City Council, Héctor Maiquez, and the chefs of the Michelin Star restaurants: Can Bosch (Cambrils); Les Moles de Ulldecona; and Rincón de Diego (Cambrils).
