Salou proposes 10 intense days of gastronomy with the best km0 products on the Gastrotour 2021 route. From June 17 to 27, visitors and residents can enjoy a wide range of tapas and tasting menus in one of the 37 restaurants that have signed up for The initiative.
The Gastrotour route allows you to try 30 tastings, for the price of 5 euros each, or enjoy up to 8 5-course tasting menus for 25 euros. Both options can be accompanied by a Magna San Miguel beer or a glass of organic wine or cava from the Torrelló Viticultors winery. Both brands sponsor the gastronomic route of Salou.

But the Gastrotour also thinks of the little ones in the house, and that is why this edition also offers the Baby Tour, a version of the gastronomic proposal adapted to boys and girls. The restaurants that offer this option are: Asador Córcega, Crepes & Nata and Cook & Travel.
As in other editions, people who try the tastings can rate the dishes and vote using the QR code of the Gastrotour route program, which can be consulted in the attached pdf. Three distinctions will be awarded: the best tasting; the tasting with the best local products; and the most original tasting.
The gastronomic route KM0 Gastrotour 2021 is an initiative of the Economic Dynamization area of ​​the City Council and the Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs (AEH) of Salou. In the presentation, the mayor of Salou and president of the Tourist Board, Pere Granados, said that "in Salou, we have been working, jointly with the private sector, especially with AEH Salou, in order to change the image that it was had from Salou, and we have managed to break it, since, currently, the municipality has a high quality gastronomy, accompanied by very modern establishments and with good service "
For his part, the president of the Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs (AEH) of Salou, Pep Moreno, explained that "proximity is quality, so that the product can not only be better, but also, as it arrives faster, it is fresher and we can preserve it better "; and, he affirmed, "we have to feel proud that we are in a privileged area, worldwide, since we have good products, a pleasant climate, magnificent places to go for a walk and great restaurants to eat."
The presentation was also attended by the councilor for Economic Dynamization, Héctor Maiquez, as well as Manel Grau, head of sales for the Northeast hospitality industry of Magna San Miguel; and the sommelier representative of Torelló Viticultors, Joan Ferrés.
