La Torre Vella in Salou Debuts a Da Vinci Exhibition Unveiling His Secrets
The exhibition includes around ten reproductions of Renaissance works

'Leonardo's Madonnas' opens its doors this Friday, November 6th, and runs until December 22nd, 2026. This free, interactive, and accessible exhibition invites visitors to explore the most iconic works of the Renaissance, with a special focus on the female figure.
This exhibition offers visitors a unique opportunity to delve into the mind of Leonardo da Vinci through an experience that fuses history, technology, and emotion in a fully interactive and sensory format. The show journeys through a dozen adapted pieces inspired by the artist's most celebrated works, shining a spotlight on the female figures he portrayed. Consequently, the public will be able to admire reproductions of The Mona Lisa, Lady with an Ermine, Ginevra de' Benci, La Belle Ferronnière, The Annunciation, and the Madonna Litta.
The Mysteries Behind the Canvases
Beyond simply viewing art, the exhibition invites visitors to solve historical enigmas: Who was the woman with the world's most famous smile? What hidden meaning lies in Cecilia Gallerani's ermine? The exhibition explores the personal histories of these women and decodes the secrets hidden in their gestures and gazes. To complement this journey into the Renaissance, the space also gives a nod to Michelangelo with works inspired by the David and the Tondo Doni.

One of the greatest strengths of Leonardo's Madonnas is its commitment to inclusion and technology. The works are presented in large-scale formats so that no detail goes unnoticed, and they are accompanied by QR codes and audiovisual screens to provide in-depth information on each piece.
Furthermore, the installation has been designed with everyone in mind: it includes adapted resources for people with functional diversity (especially those with visual impairments) and offers guided tours with Catalan Sign Language interpretation.
