Tarragona. Costa Dorada. In the third contest for the best wine were awarded nearly 20 restaurants in Catalonia in different categories. There were over 500 restaurants, a share higher than last year. A good wine is one of the essential elements of a good restaurant. For this reason and to reward those establishments that have a large presence of Catalan wines and accurate for the third consecutive year the awards are handed CARTAVI. In this edition have been awarded nearly 20 restaurants in Catalonia, and according to the jury, has been a complex task because the level was quite high. In this third edition have been established 3 categories based on average price of covered in the letter, regardless of the wine (up to 24 euros from 25 to 45 euros and 45 euros more). The awards are wine tourism vacation packages, lots of glasses of wine decanters and design, reports and advertisements in various media prestige, among others. The winners of the third edition of the Restaurant were CARTAVI The cliff of Vacarisses in the category of average price of more than 45 euros vinticinc Cal Blay, San Sadurní, in the category between 25 and 45 euros and his heir, Vilafranca del Penedès, in the category of restaurants with an average price of up to 24 euros. The event was chaired by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Action, Joaquim Llena, accompanied by Director General of INCAVI, Mauricio Guevara and the Director General of Commerce, Gemma Puig. In addition, throughout the evening during the awards ceremony, more than 30 wineries in Catalonia offers its product to attendees. The initiative is organized by the Association CARTAVÍ Catalan Wine and Wine Penedès Union, with the collaboration of the Catalan Association of sommeliers and sponsored INCAVI of the General Directorate of Commerce and the designations of Penedès, Catalunya, Pla de Bages.
