The twelfth Conference of Tuna expand their cooking classes

Hospitalet de l'Infant. Costa Dorada. They started the free cooking classes scheduled in the XII Conference of Tuna Hospitalet de l'Infant and Laurel Valley, which opened Sunday, 3 April 2011 and end on 15 May. As usual, these courses are having much success. Proof of this is that 12 places were offered to each of the 8 courses organized this year were filled within days after the open enrollment period. For this reason, we have created a waiting list for people who have stayed outside, have the opportunity to participate in workshops in case any of those who have confirmed their attendance can not go. To meet demand, two of the participating restaurants even offer 2 classes instead of one (Olla and Deviteca). The heads of these courses teach food, remember, 8 of 10 chefs who are taking part in the conference this year. Specifically, the restaurant cooks from L´Olla, El Pescador, La Caleta del Puerto, Nàutic, Deviteca and Topolino (L'Hospitalet de l'Infant) Missamaroi (Tivissa) and La Cocina d´en Carlos (of Pratdip). The first course was held yesterday Tuesday 5th April 2011 at The Olla restaurant and the last is scheduled for May 10th at the same restaurant. Most of the classes, in fact, will be Tuesday and Thursday and all of them are scheduled for 18 to 19 hours (for details, see the brochure of the conference). Within these courses, professionals teach students to prepare dishes that are included in the menus that offer their establishments during the conference, with tuna as the protagonist. For example, fresh tuna loin with foie gras on a bed of caramelized leeks; piece of grilled tuna on Mediterranean ratatouille, tuna skewers, emperor and king prawn curry with rice, tuna cannelloni au gratin with truffle aroma; jelly tuna and shrimp, tuna tossed with bundles of vegetables and yuca chips, etc..
