Tarragona collects in a book the carreer of potter and sculptor Marti Royo

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. 7th March 2012. The artist Marti Royo (1949-1997) is considered a benchmark in terms of sculpture and ceramics. Of his hands appeared large and iconic creations, some of which are preserved in museums and important private collections of art. The presentation of this volume took place Tuesday evening at the museum with the participation of the chairman of the council, Josep Poblet, Councillor of Culture of the City of Altafulla, Anna Royo, daughter of artist, author Assumpta Rosés, and the historian and art critic Francesc Miralles. The book on Marti Royo explores the personal and career of the author, through nearly 500 pieces, including ceramics, sculptures, projects, drawings and prints. This exhaustive study of the work of Martin Royo also stops at the human side of the artist, inseparable from the artistic side.
