Some 70 couples participating in the PGA Championship Golf Lumine Fourball




Tarragona. Costa Dorada. February 26, 2013. Lumine Golf facilities in Mediterranean Beach & Golf Community (Costa Dorada), will host this weekend's prestigious Fourball PGAs of Europe Championship, a tournament of reference within the European golfing circuit. It is the second time that this competition travels fields Lumine Golf Club. This year the tournament will grow to be played through two of the three fields Lumine Golf Club, allowing some 70 couples competing in this popular event "better-ball" which is an ideal opportunity for players to give professionals PGAE welcome the spring season. The tournament will be played in 54 holes, with a "cut" after 36, with the final 18 holes played in a single round. The CEO of Lumine Golf, Calle Carlsson, has been very pleased that this important event once again return to this thriving Spanish golfing destination is Costa Dorada: "This event and our partnership with the PGA of Europe are part of a long-term strategy that includes key prescribers host golf world to know and enjoy the magnificent range of Lumine, so obviously we are keen to welcome new participants. " In 2012, this competition lived an exciting finish in the field and former player designed by golf legend Greg Norman, the course Lumine Lakes, which confirmed the credentials of this resort as a thriving destination competitions. In 2012, the Fourball Championship was won by the English couple Matt McGuire and Craig Swinburn, which was the first edition of this competition held in Lumine Golf Club. The winners had a 20-under card, which allowed them to take the title. The celebration of this major championship is the result of collaboration between Lumine Golf Club and the tourist boards of the towns of Salou and Cambrils Vilaseca, who collaborate to promote the Costa Dorada as reference golfing destination in Europe and sharing efforts to make this tournament a success. Lumine Golf facilities, managed by Troon Golf, is one of the Course main tourist destinations in Catalonia. Includes two 18-hole course and a 9 hole course, two clubhouses, a golf school. Two of the fields are the hallmark of legendary Australian player Greg Norman.
