Salou. Costa Dorada. The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, accompanied by the Councillor for Environment, Montserrat Porter and Councillor for Urbanism, Marc Montagut, has hoisted the blue flag and the flag of the ISO 14001 environmental certification in the Plaza of the Autonomous Communities Salou. The Blue Flag is an award presented annually to the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education "). It is a distinction European Environmental Education at beaches and ports that meet a range of environmental conditions id'instal • Facilities. Among other things, this certification assesses the degree of environmental education and information, water quality, environmental management, security services. The Levante beach and the marina have this distinction. The Mayor welcomed not only by obtaining the Blue Flag but because all the beaches have the distinction that ISO 14001 is a recognition of environmental management on the beach. The ISO 14001 environmental certificate has been renewed on the year and it is an international certification, by IQNet and AENOR why certify that all the beaches have implemented and maintained the system of environmental management.   The mayor said that "certification is a recognition of its environmental management in the field and guarantees the quality of their facilities." In this sense, also stressed that "efforts to offer the best quality at our beaches for its citizens and visitors are guaranteed with this new certification positions us as a benchmark of quality." We must remember that the beaches of Poniente and Levante also have the flag "Q" for Quality, being the only beaches on the Costa Dorada who have this badge.
