More than 5,000 dancers competing in the 'Spanish Open Salou XVI "from 6 to 9 December



Salou. Costa Dorada. 14th August 2012. The spectacular event, the Spanish Open in Salou will come again next December to delight visitors and fans with high-level dancers. The Dance Sport competition, international, will take place in Salou from 6 to 9 December at the Municipal Sports Pavilion. The Councillor for Tourism, Benet Presas, has signed an agreement with Publiolimpia SLU organizer of the celebration of this competition that leads to the fourteenth edition. The Tourist Board and the organization work together to close the bridge of the Virgin is celebrated the fourteenth consecutive year of this massive event that brings together more than 2,500 couples dance, so more than 5,000 dancers and has also supported by the City of Salou and the collaboration of the Sports Department. The Councillor for Tourism, Benet Presas, explained that "this is an event that helps to spread the season and provided a large number of visitors to town during the week when the event occurs." Note that, apart from the pairs, there is a large influx to elevate the organization, according to some 8,000 people, considering the attendance of previous years.   Competition and performance Ballroom dancing competitions have a distinctly sporty but also a show, particularly popular in Catalonia, where the level of participation, both children and adults, is very important. There are currently ten considered ballroom dancing competition, divided into two categories of five balls each.
