Salou. Costa Dorada. On 18 July, the pop of La Oreja de Van Gogh are put at the service of ecological cause Coronita Save the Beach. The components of the Basque band have put their stamp on the campaign that warns of the dangers to our shores and coasts, held last night a free concert on the beach Llevant in Salou, Tarragona. About 45,000 people came to the event, which had the support of 40 Major, 40 viajes.com and the city of Salou, and in which the group also acted Bilbao Murcia Zenttric and singer Diego Martin. The concert is part of Save the Beach Corona project working across Europe to raise awareness and call attention to the poor condition of the beach. For two years, this platform makes an important work of international awareness to protect beaches and each year is committed to seamlessly retrieve at least one European beach degraded, with the help of experts and volunteers. The environmental initiative now has over 350 complaints of beaches all over the world and the vote is held the last week of August. Within its international project awareness, Save the Beach Corona built this year in Rome the first hotel in the world made with garbage, collected in several European beaches. The hotel, set to coincide with World Environment Day (June 5), had five rooms where they stayed press, winners of promotions on Facebook and the Internet and even the environmentalist model Helena Christensen, ambassador of the project this year. Other famous faces who have participated in this initiative are Custo Dalmau of Custo Barcelona fashion company, the top model Bar Refaeli, designer Jade Jagger, Alexandra Cousteau, environmentalist, singer Pau Dones, the band Pignoise and Australian musician Xavier Rudd .
