Tarragona. Costa Dorada. The work of ten artists prestigious exhibition center gives shape and content of the series Homage to Horta de Sant Joan, organized by the Art Association Montsagre Way to the Convent of San Salvador de Horta. The chairman of the council of Tarragona, Josep Poblet, presided the opening of the show, this Friday evening, accompanied by the mayor of the village, Angel ferrain; other members of the corporation, mayors of neighboring towns, representatives of organizations, and participating artists. The event has attracted a large audience, and has followed that have made the concert guitarist Max Sunyer, born in La Pobla de Massaluca and Czech singer Lenka Maresova origin. Tribute to Horta de Sant Joan shows contemporary art by Manel Armengol Xano Armenter Francis Arum, Joan Fontcuberta, Isao Robert Llimós, Santi Moix, Marcos Palazzi, Perico Pastor and Vicente Viaplana. Little more than a century after the last stay of Picasso in Horta, all these artists have shown their enthusiasm to show their work in the town that inspired the artist. The exhibition will be open until 19 September, Tuesday to Sunday from 12h to 14h and 18h to 20h. During the opening of the exhibition, Josep Poblet has highlighted the popularity of the artists participating in the show and said that Horta de Sant Joan remains steadfast in its role of reference in the world of art and culture capital. The cycle Artistic Tribute to Horta de Sant Joan also include, on 5 September, the concert pianist and percussionist Angel Luis Pereira Vidal, which offer a charming mix of instrumental piano, vibraphone and marimba.
