The Tarragona Province has unanimously approved an agreement of cooperation to promote economic, business and tourism in the Tarragona region as a tourist destination and especially of the Reus airport, due to the need to build a new framework for relations following the fall of the air activity. The purpose of this agreement is to establish the financial contributions to carry out by government and signatory institutions for financing the agreed marketing activities to promote economic, business and tourism in the area of ​​operations Reus Airport. The agreement shows that tourism is a strategic activity in the development of the territory's economy, and Reus Airport ensures the accessibility of a significant part of tourism demand. The various promotional activities be agreed by the Government with the airlines and tour operators. The agents involved in this agreement are the Government of Catalonia, the Tourist Board of the Tarragona Province, the town of Reus, Tarragona, Vilaseca, Salou, Cambrils, Tarragona Port Authority, Chambers of Commerce Tarragona, Reus and Valls, the Federation of Hotels and Tourism of the Province of Tarragona and the Employers Confederation of Trade and Services of the Tarragona region. The agreement, which ends in December 2015, fixed a grant of 642,301 euros by the Province of Tarragona. The rest, up to a total of 3,500,000 euros, was paid by the Government and other government entities and signatories.
