From Poboleda to Cornudella de Montsant

 The trail of history and discover many places of artistic interest of the peoples of Poboleda and Cornudella Montsant enjoying good views of the Montsant Natural Park. The first highlights the old Roman bridge over the river Siurana and the beautiful neoclassical church of Sant Pere, known as the Cathedralof the  Priorato. From Cornudella can see old houses with architectural elements of the sixteenth century, the church, the cellar modernist Hostal del Rincón, magnificent building which has been reproduced in Poble Espanyol. To get out of winemaking, where the local road T-702 from the C-242, which connects both the N-420 towards Falset between Cornudella Montsant and observations, take the road of Calvari which leaves the road T-702 heading north, and climb to pass the Senen, at the end of the village, where it continues to track back. It collides with a fork before an isolated pine, and go straight to the left leaving a trail. After a steep descent leads to the neck of Cuatro Caminos (1.48 km, 385 m) and take the old road of Cornudella Montsant rising slightly to the east. Follow signs to the shrine of Maria Assumpta. The route runs along the source of Lovers (2.92 km, 490 m) below the chapel of Maria Assumpta. Later you pass the neck of Rabbit with Mas d'en Gil, and there is a deviation to the left: we must continue straight. After the bee farm (4.30 km, 457 m), a mile or so beyond, appears a cross (5.48 km, 471 m), which again, crossed straight to find the C-242 Cornudella Reus (6.56 km, 465 m), where you turn left towards the latter population. Once Cornudella Montsant (7.90 km) you can see the Renaissance church of Santa Maria, the architect Peter Blaise, the cellar of the Agricultural Cooperative Nouveau, designed by Cesar Martinell, 1919, and observe different houses voussoirs and stone architectural elements of the sixteenth century. Of these stresses Hostal del Rincón. You leave the village by the plan of the Church, where we take the road C-242 to Reus, the opposite of how come. At 9.23 km (465 m) to the left take the same track which has been up to the junction mentioned (10.30 km, 471 m). It has come to the right track and now the left will be taken to the ravine of the Witch. In crossing a field of hazelnuts is followed by a trail that goes left and crosses the ravine of the Witch. Access to a road T-702 (12.97 km), linking the Ventas de Pubill i Poboleda, and it falls to the right towards the latter town. After a sharp bend to the right, new construction, rectifying the old path, indicated with a sign of the PDO Priory, take the old path a few meters to the left to pass the Mine (13.46 km, 395 m). Take the second track on the left, turning immediately to the right, west, down to the river Siurana. From this point, known as the loin of mine, it has a good view of winemaking. Cross the river Siurana (14.08 km, 339 m) and goes back to the other side almost opposite direction to the side of a house down. Reached a hill (14.66 km, 367 m), the river makes a bend on both sides. We head back down the river on the right track to the west, the road to the house in Peri, following the river downstream. Once in font d´n Mingot (15.62 km) located beneath a poplar straight ahead along the track leaving one left. Cross the river again by a Roman bridge Siurana (16.12 km) and again winemaking, where the tour ends. Now you can see the main street and its manor houses with doors voussoirs and the church of St. Pere Cathedral called of  the Priory for their large size. The temple has three naves, was built in 1750 and has some traces of graffiti on the facade.
